What a find! Illustrator Anoushka Matus may live and work in Zurich, but her appeal is international. As a professional graphic designer, her illustrations are witty, whimsical and poignant. Anoushka documents her everyday finding on her blog. and she sells her illustrations as screen prints (limited edition) in her shop. I'm sending a wave over the lake!

After a long break I'm back.
Everything seemed to be too much for me at the moment, I noticed how my life started to get too heavy. Family, several difficult projects and jobs, my studio, etc. I needed more time for everyday life and myself. So I decided to cancel some sideprojects, less mini jobs and this suuuperdeadlines and more freetime weekends for my family and friends. And it's really good!! Luckily for me!

After a short but wonderful break in Vienna with my little boy and his godmother I'm back in our house. Oh my, so much work is waiting.... Fortunately today the little boy is playing with my husband, so I have a lot of time to organise my work and stuff.

last week i wrote a short idea about comments. thanks to all this nice feedbacks! thanks to monica, valentino, germaine, pat and beth. world fabulous web is so nice!

Comments or not?

A week ago, a friend from work wrote a post on a blog. Her comment was about a product that she found a little bit boring and that she doesn't understand the hype around this project.

Suddenly there was a new comment on her post from one of the 'important' paticipants in the blog community who wrote: 'boo to mean commenters!'

I am really irritated about this. If I write a comment it's my belief, i don't want to diss somebody, i want to share or discuss arguments. This comment has induced me to challenge what we expect from the comments.

My point of view is, there is a lot of work for a fluid blog. To be honest, I'm also happy, if somebody writes a nice and personally comment, but I am also interessted in straightforward comments and critics. And yes, normally I write comments when I like something or when I am impressed about a work. I think it is harder work, to grapple with a project; but it would be terrific to get also critical words.

I want to ask you dear bloggers, what do you expect from comments?
