An intelligent project made by DesignStudio Permafrost: Behind their cute, harmless appearance, the toys are perhaps posing some silent questions about Norway’s national identity and industrial heritage...

Tatti Containers are used to store something valuable, to keep safe
golden memories or even sweets. Some of the containers may be used as
piggy banks. The glass bases that have been mouth blown by Finnish
artisans combined with lids turned of wood create an endearing, easily
approachable combination. Yes please!

Mirrormirror is a series of objects designed by talented Maria Bruun. “Mirror Mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all?” Quote: The mirror reflects a small simplistic section of reality, dialoging with the voyeur on their terms. Imagine a mirror that reflected more than one side of the story, mirroring from one side only can be inadequate and a simply untrue motif. Wonderful, no?!

Starting from a simple geometrical shape, this truncated conical mirror allows different positions for different kind of functions. Fixing on wall, the mirror is a sort of megaphone that makes the wall scream for reflection. Hence the name EDVARD, after the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, the man behind the painting ‘The Scream’.

I'm really in love with the idea of the Good Night Lamp founder Alexandra Deschamps - Sonsino:
She would like to think that people can share parts of their lives with their families & loved ones in more subtle ways with the flick of a switch, like a physical social network. The Good Night Lamp is a family of internet-connected lamps. Turn the Big Lamp on and the Little Lamps turn on wherever they are.
So please support this Kickstarter campaign, I think this an amazing project!

I'll start this week with some first reviews from Maison & Objet 2012. A big personal discovery was the talented designer Conctance Guisset, featured by French editeur Petite Friture. Vertigo is one of the products I love the most. The visible lightness of the lamp makes it mobile to the rythm of the air, absolutely poetic! More wonderful projects on her website!
