Jesse Howard and Thomas Lommée are the designer behind OS WaterBoiler. Coffee makers and water boilers are relatively simple machines, yet their workings are typically inaccessible to the user. Repair or even recycling becomes impossible: once the product ceases to function, it is rendered disposable. The OS Boiler explores an alternative approach to the design and production of these ubiquitous appliances. Based on the OS design principles, the WaterBoiler’s design and transparent construction invites users to adapt, repair, and combine with existing OpenStructures components. Smart!

Holidays are over, back home! I found some treats for me and you....
Clickazoo is a collection of foldable leather animals developed for Hermes. The animals laying flat in their packaging become alive when manipulated by their users. The patterns are always simple and they vary from one animal to the other. This project has originally been designed for the vienna design week in 2009, designed by Swiss Adrien Rovero. Just wonderful!

I'm really in love with the idea of the Good Night Lamp founder Alexandra Deschamps - Sonsino:
She would like to think that people can share parts of their lives with their families & loved ones in more subtle ways with the flick of a switch, like a physical social network. The Good Night Lamp is a family of internet-connected lamps. Turn the Big Lamp on and the Little Lamps turn on wherever they are.
So please support this Kickstarter campaign, I think this an amazing project!
