The Barn beige brown is designed by Mara Skujeniece, woven in the Dutch Textile museum. Central to Mara’s work which takes much of its inspiration from her Latvian origins, is the tactility of material, honesty in expression and a well thought-out process. Available at Wannekes.

Pally is a stool for kids and grown-ups. By moving the colourful sticks you can create countless patterns for the seat. The sitting experience is soft because the sticks lay on superlon. Pally comes in two mobile sizes - large and small. Pally is currently looking for a manufacturer.... contact here!

While searching for a new pendant lamp for our dining table I stumbled across this big fat lamp, Under The Bell. Really great, but, what do you think, do we need a loft ceiling height for this lamp? I'm really unsure.... They write: Under the Bell is not just a lmapshade, as it hangs over the table, it creates a room within a room - like a dome encasing a building...

I have to write about an 'old' love.... Since month I'm following the stunning process of the 'redesign' of the wonderful TriplexLamp, made by Ulrika and her husband. Her blog mackapär is supercreative, the pictures and the moods are great! Yesterday I found the latest note from Ulrika: If you are wondering about the status of this friend, I can tell you product launch is coming closer. Only a couple of minor notes to be adjusted before it's approved by the test labs and ready to sell!
Great, we are waiting impatiently... ;-)

Doing the last set ups in our house like hooks, frames and so on, I found this creative brand Supafrank. The collection of interior products and illustrations is inspired by curiosities from nature. The few simple components can be constructed using just one tool to make up a stool, a hook, a light and a light pull. Smart way!

Melbourne based designstudio Coco Flip aka designer Kate Stokes was inspired by the old tin can telephone. Also called 'lovers telephone', this spun copper pendant light pays tribute to a time gone by.

Yesterday was a good day, I found THE pendant lamp for my Studio space. The Drawing Light is a series of cloud-like lamps, they are drawings in space, emphasizing the volume of light. Absolutely cool! And thanks a lot Sara for the informations!

Ionna Vautrin is a french designer i really admire. She is the designer behind the wonderful lamp Binic ( yep, i bought the aubergine one for our sleepingroom, i'll show you pictures in my soon coming rebuilding roundup) but she created several other wonderful products. The mirror rétroviseur domestique is new for me, but as usual really clear lines and shapes! Wonderful!

The colors of the products from Scholten & Baijings are so perfect, I saw them all 'live' in Kopenhagen in the Hayshop! Love the dotted grid rugs (for me or babyboyroom) and the soft scarfs!

More storage systems.... The scatter shelf is composed of 5mm black acrylic shelves in a grid form, stacked in three layers and slightly displaced. The resulting shelving unit is not only structurally, it creates a visual effect in which objects placed on the shelves appear as though caught in a spider’s web when viewed from the front. You can see the kaleidoscopic effect in the video!

Quentin de Coster is a really young Belgian designer, who designed this playful birdhouse called Spot. It diverts the traditional wooden nest box by adapting it to the plastics industry.

First of all, I need nice things : created to make contemporary art collectable and affordable. It's really hard to choose.....

To be honest, I'm loving all clever storage systems, that's why Eileen Gray is one of my role models! (Space saving is better than time saving...) Anyway, today I found this really smart vertical 'cork wardrobe storage' system, clever idea!

Today I read an article about the winners of the Swiss Grand Prix Design 2010, Susi & Ueli Berger. It was like a dejavu... While searching for the babyboy roomlight last month, I found this smooth and lovely cloud. It's a concept from 1970, produced by a little swiss factory named wb engros. (And yes, the cloud is installed in his room, I'll show you some pictures soon... ;-))
