Lightweight stool or wavy Coat hanger, the technology developed by Oskar Zieta is fantastic. Welded and inflated very carefully under high pressure to create unique bulges and waves. That's design!!
Ionna Vautrin is a french designer i really admire. She is the designer behind the wonderful lamp Binic ( yep, i bought the aubergine one for our sleepingroom, i'll show you pictures in my soon coming rebuilding roundup) but she created several other wonderful products. The mirror rétroviseur domestique is new for me, but as usual really clear lines and shapes! Wonderful!
Are you also interested in the 'story' behind a table or a chair, kind of what was the initial idea? I found a great 'lookbook' from designer Bram Boo, where you can find first ideas of finished furniture. Great!
UP, UP and AWAY with TurTur, the high chair designed by Eric Degenhardt for the childrens furniture collection from Richard Lampert. TurTur functions as a piece of furniture, a plaything, a chillout zone and somewhere to while away the time in reflection, both indoors and outdoors. If you have enough space and ceiling height, go for it!
More storage systems.... The scatter shelf is composed of 5mm black acrylic shelves in a grid form, stacked in three layers and slightly displaced. The resulting shelving unit is not only structurally, it creates a visual effect in which objects placed on the shelves appear as though caught in a spider’s web when viewed from the front. You can see the kaleidoscopic effect in the video!
At the moment I'm planning my office storage furniture.... I've collected a lot of moods and inspiriatons here, but I can't help, I really love both of this shelves systems a lot: The Hay Woody serie and the Lap Shelving from Case furniture. Perfect individual storage systems, but I'm not sure, is it too trendy?
Inspired by spring flowers, young industrial designer Sinja Svarrer Damkjær created a lamp with a fresh interpretation of classical cross-pleating. The lamp comprises not just one but a cluster of lampshades.
Swiss architect Nicola Enrico Stäubli is the founder of Indie furniture and Nicola from Bern. He explores a new form of customization: DIY! This means: create storage solutions consisting of universal furniture joints and customized wood panels. He offers on his website an easy configurator for your furniture, supersmart! Love the concept a lot!
I'm really happy when this year will be over... this year was really well stocked with work and stress... At the moment ( during a 'creative break') I found this ottoman from Noé Duchaufour-Lauwrance, what a name! And what a cosy canape!! What do you think? The color is strange somehow, but also perfect??
