Cutting, gluing, filling and observing the animals: Through the use of simple hand tools, this worktop breaks down the
production process of animal toys manufactured from expanded foam. A concept by the young designers Eleonora Castellarin and Moises Hernandez. A big YES PLEASE for more concepts like this!
Thoughtful project by Siren Elise Wilhelmsen. In her own words: 365 is stitching the time as
it passes by. It is knitting 24 hours a day and one year at the time,
showing the physical representation of time as a creative and tangible
force. After 365 days the clock has turned the passed year into a 2-m
long scarf. Now the past can be carried out in the future and the
upcoming year is hiding in a new spool of thread, still unknitted.
Long time ago (uups 2008?!) I wrote about Swiss graphic designer Julie Joliat. Now she wrote me a sweet email with a link to her new agenda collection. Absolutely great! More informations here. Thanks Julie!
This is genius: You simply step into a normal photo booth and rather than printing tiny
pictures of you, it will print out tiny 3D figures of yourself. (The
photo booth is located in Japan, and is currently running through the
middle of January.) Great, please come to Switzerland soon!!!
Back on track in family life! After working day and night for around 2 month, my son and I needed some time to play, and to play, and to DIY! I mentioned the book You are awesome from artist Abbey Hendrickson some weeks ago on Twitter, and it's a real inspiration book! We started with the cardboard mailbox, and it's the new hit at home! You can buy the book here or you can find more everyday lifestyle DIY on her blog, AestheticOutburst. (The only thing I need is the virtual handsigned copy... promised is promised ;-)))) Now I have to go, the postman is ringing...
