I'm hardly planning our rebuilding. Space versus budget versus light versus material and so on. I stumbled across this firm in Milan, called ALBED, they produce equipped walls and walk in closets. I really like the system, to change walls in to open rooms! What do you think about?
Malva is a series of lights inspired by the natural qualities of cellulose and viscose. The collection includes pendant and floor lamps. Designed by German design studio Ett la Benn, presented last week at Zona Tortona in Milan. Charming!
From my point of view, this year at the Milan show, Moroso overtops all the other furniture brands! The new Wood Chair from Swedish Design Ladys FRONT is absolutely perfect!! The little orbs were birch, which explains the tongue-in-cheek name: Wood Chair, and yes the chair is comfortable!!
Last weekend I saw a fabulous exhibition in Langenthal named the Louise Aeschlimann and Margareta Corti award. One work I felt in love immediately, the 'porn'collages from Silvio Berlusconi, Damien Hirst and Sigmund Freud. You can find more works from talented Swiss artist Marco Giacomoni here! And yes, you have to look closer....
Frisian Wouw, the felt carpet which Claudy Jongstra designed as part of Edition Ruckstuhl, is distinguished in particular by its irregular contours and wild, frenzied texture. This can be seen as an allusion to the archaic character of felt. Amazing!!
Our daughter Lea Danae Hakamaki was born 2002. When she turned 2 years old, she was looking at the fully bloomed pink Japanese camelia through our window, there she uttered her first word in two different languages connecting Japanese and Danish. She pointed at the pink flower and said Hana in Japanese then repeated Blomst in Danish. That was the beginning of our concept hanablomst.
